They provide exactly the level of care we need- kind, supportive, help with daily tasks parents now find difficult, and are also proactive in responding to unplanned situations and liaising with myself and my siblings about it. They have been great at arranging medical appointments when needed and transporting our parents there , and they now do a lot of the cooking that out mother no longer wants to do. They recognise the importance of not taking over entirely so parents retain confidence in ability to do things for themselves, but will always step in when needed. My parents like their carers very much, and despite initial reluctance to accept help, are now really positive about their visits. While we don’t live far away, it’s too far to just pop round on a daily basis, so knowing that our parents have this regular friendly in person check in with the Robins has been a great relief to myself and my siblings.
